Great Britain opened their EuroBasket 2013 campaign in dramatic fashion with a 75-71 overtime victory against Israel in Slovenia.
GB, who went into the competition off the back of six straight defeats in warm-up matches, led 22-7 at the end of the first quarter and 34-30 by half-time.
But in the third there was a 14-4 run for Israel and GB ended the quarter 47-52 down.
In the fourth, Israel at one stage extended their advantage to nine points before GB battled back to make it 66-66, enforcing overtime.
And after Israel initially went back in front in the additional period, Joe Prunty's side then showed more fight to emerge triumphant.
The other teams in Group A along with GB and Israel are Ukraine, Germany, Belgium and France, who Prunty's men play on Thursday.
The Ukraine opened their campaign with a 58-57 victory against Belgium, while Germany overcame France, who finished with the silver medal in 2011, 80-74.
Defending champions Spain got their campaign off to a perfect start with a 68-40 rout of Croatia.
