Accrington v Rochdale preview

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Accrington Stanley and Rochdale at Crown Ground.

Stanley's injury list could be shortened when the side bottom of the Football League are in action this weekend. Accrington and their manager James Beattie are still without a League Two victory this season and a raft of absentees in the treatment room has not helped matters. However, a tight-lipped Beattie revealed he was hoping he would have one player at his disposal again this weekend, and full-back Nicky Hunt (knee) looks the most likely to come back as he was aiming for a return before the end of September. Even so, Accrington could still be missing goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin (knee), defenders Michael Liddle (ankle) and Laurence Wilson (groin) and striker Danny Webber (groin). Dale's latest signing Gary Dicker could make his first appearance for the club in the derby clash at Accrington. The former Brighton midfielder was not considered for selection last week after signing a five-month deal with Rochdale as he had been without a club since the end of last season. Peter Vincenti will return to the squad after sitting out last week's home win over Torquay due to a one-game ban and manager Keith Hill must decide whether to recall the midfielder to his starting line-up. Defender Rhys Bennett, who made way for Javan Vidal against Torquay, is also hoping for a recall, while Hill, who has no new selection worries, will be without skipper Peter Cavanagh (Achilles) again.
