Late fitness test for keeper Bull; Hatters hope for quadruple boost

Out-of-form Aldershot Town host Luton Town at the Recreation Ground on Saturday lunchtime. Aldershot manager Gary Waddock is waiting to see whether goalkeeper Nikki Bull can prove his fitness ahead of the clash. Bull has an ankle problem that forced him to miss the midweek draw with Shrewsbury and Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz will continue to deputise if Bull does not make it. Waddock is definitely without the services of midfielder Ben Harding who is likely to miss the next couple of weeks with an Achilles injury, while Andy Lindegaard has returned to Cheltenham after his loan spell. Despite Luton sitting 14 points adrift of safety at the foot of League Two, Waddock admits he is expecting a tough battle with Mick Harford's men. "They are fighting for their lives and I'm sure they will keep fighting to the bitter end," he said. "If you look at the way their manager used to play the game then you'd expect nothing less from one of his sides."

      Luton team news

Luton could be boosted by the return of four key players when they visit Aldershot. Captain Kevin Nicholls is fit after testing out his hamstring injury in a reserve game. Also in line to return at the Recreation Ground after coming through the second string outing unscathed are striker Rossi Jarvis (knee) and defenders George Pilkington (metatarsal) and Lewis Emanuel (knee). Hatters boss Mick Harford, whose side go into the game 14 points off safety in League Two, is expecting a tough challenge from the Shots, despite beating them 3-1 earlier in the season. "They played very well against us in the first half before and were very fast and efficient in what they did," he told the Luton Herald and Post. "It will be a tough game."
