Impressive away win for League One's bottom club
Shaun Miller struck twice as Crewe Alexandra set up an FA Cup third-round tie at Millwall following a 2-0 win over Carlisle United.
Carlisle had only earned their second-round tie at home to Crewe by overcoming Grays Athletic last Saturday in their rearranged first-round replay.
But the Cumbrians were unable to make it back-to-back wins against their League One rivals as Miller scored twice inside the opening 12 minutes.
The Crewe striker broke the deadlock after just two minutes when he flashed a fine shot past Chris Howarth after Calvin Zola had flicked on James Bailey's pass.
And Miller had his second of the night 10 minutes later after showing quick reactions to guide the ball into an unguarded net.
Miller had sent Colin Daniel clear, and was on hand to score from 25 yards after his team-mate's shot had been blocked by Carlisle's debutant keeper Howarth.
Carlisle pressed for a route back into the game, but were unable to prevent League One's bottom club from making it through to the third round.
