Grant hits winner two minutes from time
Mark Carrington and Joel Grant struck as rock-bottom Crewe pulled off a late turnaround to beat Tranmere 2-1.
Anthony Kay's seventh goal of the season seemed to have sealed all three points for the visitors.
Kay picked up the ball 25 yards out and beat goalkeeper John Ruddy with a pinpoint finish which went in off the upright in the 26th minute.
Rovers should have doubled their lead after the break when the unmarked Edrissa Sonko headed wide.
But substitute Grant set up Carrington to sidefoot in with seven minutes to go before the winger netted a dramatic winner with two minutes left - the ball ballooning off a defender and over Danny Coyne.
