A Loic Laval hat-trick inspired Utrecht to a 7-1 demolition of bottom of the league Sparta Rotterdam.
Laval struck twice before the half-hour and then added his third with two minutes of the match remaining to secure Utrecht fourth place in the Eredivise.
Utrecht were in front on seven minutes when Laval fired home and he then added his second in the 29th minute.
Robin Nelisse (31) and Leroy George (36) then got their names on the score sheet at Nieuw Galgewaard.
On the stroke of half-time Francis Dickoh added a fifth to ensure it was a sorry interval for Sparta.
Things did not improve after the break for the visitors as Nelisse netted his second with half-an-hour to go.
Yuri Rose gave the travelling Sparta supporters something to cheer on 77 minutes, but Loic Laval ensured he was taking the match ball home as he slotted in Utrecht's seventh eleven minutes later.
