Teber strike cancels out Asamoah opener
Hoffenheim reclaimed top spot in the Bundesliga despite being held to a 1-1 draw by nine-man Schalke.
Bayern Munich moved to the summit on Saturday as they played out a 2-2 draw against Stuttgart.
It looked as though Hoffenheim would not be able to respond as Schalke took the lead through Gerald Asamoah five minutes before half-time.
However, Schalke were then reduced to ten men on 58 minutes as Jermaine Jones was sent off.
Selim Teber equalised after 72 minutes and Schalke then suffered another setback as Orlando Engelaar was dismissed 10 minutes from time.
However, Hoffenheim could not force a winner and overtook Bayern on goal difference only.
