Paul McVeigh's first-half winner gives Luton all three points at Kenilworth Road.
Luton deny Dagenham fourth place with spirited home victory
Paul McVeigh scored the winning goal as Luton beat Dagenham 2-1 at Kenilworth Road.
The Hatters took the lead with just six minutes on the clock as defender Sol Davis slotted home on-loan Norwich striker Chris Martin's cross from close range.
The visitors equalised through Magnus Okuonghae as the Daggers midfielder managed to convert Sam Saunders' outswinging corner in the 31st minute.
But it was former Norwich striker McVeigh who proved to be the hero for the home side as his fine finish five minutes before half-time after another Martin cross proved to be enough as Mick Harford's men held out for all three points and just their fifth League Two win of the season to take another chunk out of their pre-season points deduction.
