League Two basement club Luton extended their unbeaten run to five games but had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Morecambe.
The first ever meeting between the sides saw the Hatters almost score inside a minute as Kevin Gallen teed up Paul McVeigh from six yards only for Barry Roche to save.
Asa Hall hit a 20-yard drive wide for the hosts before Morecambe's Danny Carlton headed Craig Stanley's 17th minute free-kick wide from 10 yards with the goal at his mercy.
Luton took the lead seven minutes after the break when centre-half Michael Spillane stabbed home Rossi Jarvis' corner from eight yards for his fourth goal of the season.
But five minutes later, the Shrimps equalised when Carlton converted Stanley's corner with a superb angled volley.
Both sides struggled to create openings from then on but Spillane almost conjured up a winner in the last minute when he headed Jarvis' free-kick just wide from 10 yards.
