Le Mans striker Tulio De Melo has confirmed that he will be joining Serie A side Palermo next season.
The Brazilian has been in fine form for Le Mans this season and has attracted interest from a number of clubs across Europe.
He was rumoured to have signed contracts with both Palermo and Parma, but has now cleared up any confusion and blamed his former agent for the controversy.
The 23-year-old will play for Palermo in a joint ownership agreement with Parma, and has slammed reports that he is solely driven by money.
"Definitely it will be Palermo," De Melo said in
L'Equipe. "The Parma officials understood that I had been fooled, and have let me go to Palermo keeping 50 per cent of the economical rights on me.
"Money is not an obsession to me, otherwise I would have moved to Russia four years ago and I would never had joined Le Mans.
"I will multiply my wages by five but money has never been a priority. My first challenge is to shine at Palermo."
