Andreas Isaksson is firmly the established number one goalkeeper for Sweden and will remain first-choice despite his struggles at Manchester City.
The giant custodian started his career at hometown club Trelleborg and his performances there saw him snapped up by Italian giants Juventus.
The 26-year-old failed to make the breakthrough in Turin and returned home to join Djurgardens.
During his time at Djurgardens Isaksson broke into the Sweden set-up as back-up to Magnus Hedman and made his debut in 2002 against Switzerland.
Isaksson became first choice keeper for the successful Euro 2004 qualifying campaign and he played in all of Sweden's games in the finals in Portugal.
His performances at Euro 2004 saw Isaksson win a move to Rennes and he soon quickly attracted interest from a host of top European clubs.
Isaksson remained as number one keeper for Sweden since his showings at Euro 2004 and he played in three of their games at the 2006 World Cup.
After the 2006 World Cup Isaksson made the move to England with Manchester City, but he was forced to play second fiddle to Nicky Weaver for most of his first year in the Premier League.
Isaksson was relegated to reserve keeper in the 2007/08 season with fellow Swede Sven-Goran Eriksson making youngster Joe Hart first-choice at Eastlands.
Isaksson, who is the tallest player in the Premier League, is expected to leave City this summer and he can put himself in the shop window at Euro 2008.
