FC Twente forward Bernard Parker claims that a contract mix-up that could have resulted in a six-month ban has been settled.
Reports have suggested that Fifa was set to punish the South Africa international after he signed for Steve McClaren's Twente last July while still under contract with former club Red Star Belgrade.
Parker's agent, Mike Makaab, was in the process of attempting to terminate his client's deal with Red Star when the agreement was reached with Twente, claiming the Serbs' alleged non-payment of players was 'just cause' under Fifa rules.
Football's world governing body was still investigating the situation, but Parker, who is not a regular with Twente, has announced that Makaab has solved the dispute.
Parker told
KickOff Africa: "What happened is that when I signed for Twente about seven months ago, my agent was still in the process of terminating my contract with Red Star where I was playing before going to Holland.
"So that means at the time after signing for Twente I had two contracts, but one was being terminated."
Parker added: "Mike says everything has been sorted out."
