Hibernian defender Paul Hanlon has signed a two-year contract extension to stay at Easter Road until 2016.
The 21-year-old Hibs academy graduate has been captain of the side in recent weeks and has made 34 appearances this season.
Hanlon said on the club's
official website: "I'm delighted to have signed a new deal; I love playing for Hibernian.
"Next season we want to give the fans something to cheer about by improving with the aim of challenging for a place in Europe.
"I've supported the club all my life and been with Hibernian since I was 14, so being given the honour of captaining the team recently has been a massive honour.
"That is a privilege and something that I will never take for granted.
"I've always enjoyed my time with the club, I feel settled here and now I want to help Hibernian achieve something special."
