FC Twente have decided not to extend the loan deal of AC Milan defender Oguchi Onyewu.
The United States international arrived in Enschede in January having previously worked with Twente coach Michel Preud'homme at Standard Liege.
However the 29-year-old centre-back, who played 14 games for Twente, including eight Eredivisie matches, has failed to impress enough to earn an extension with the Dutch giants.
Onyewu, a former Newcastle United player, will return to Italy where he is contracted with the Rossoneri until 2013.
