Nurnberg striker Albert Bunjaku is eager to continue fighting for a starting place and extend his stay at the club.
The Switzerland international has struggled to consolidate a regular place in the first team following his return from long-term injury with only seven appearances in Bundesliga this season.
The 28-year-old was sidelined in October 2010 with a knee injury after scoring 12 goals in 28 games for the top-flight side.
Having regained fitness in the summer, and battled for a starting place, Bunjaku insists that he is keen to keep putting pressure on regular frontmen Tomas Pekhart and Christian Eigler.

"I would very much like to sign a new contract with the club," he told
BILD. "I like to stay at FC Nurnberg.
"Of course I am actually not that happy. It is a pity. I am feeling well but unfortunately I do not play much at this moment in time.
"However, I like to show everyone I am still a good player; no one should write me off. I have proved I am a Bundesliga 1 goalscorer."
Bunjaku joined the club in 2009 when he left Erfurt where he netted 34 goals in 74 appearances for the club.
