Midfielder calls time on Milan career

Clarence Seedorf has confirmed he is to leave AC Milan this summer after almost a decade wearing the red and black shirt. The Dutchman moved from Inter to AC in 2002 and has lifted two UEFA Champions League titles with the Rossoneri as he made over 300 appearances for the club. The 36-year-old follows Gennaro Gattuso, Alessandro Nesta, Filippo Inzaghi, Gianluca Zambrotta and Mark van Bommel out of the exit door at the San Siro, as Milan look to the future in an attempt to win Serie A back from Juventus. Seedorf said: "I thank everyone, truly everyone."

But he refused to confirm reports that he will be joining Brazilian side Botafogo for next season. "I will let you know soon about my future," added the Dutchman. "I am taking my time. I have lots of offers."
