Icelandic youngster is fit and confident ahead of new challenge

New Wolves signing Bjorn Sigurdarson is enjoying life at the club and cannot wait for the season to start. The 21-year-old striker joined the Championship club from Norwegian club Lillestrom to become one of new boss Stale Solbakken's first signings. The Iceland international played the full game in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Southampton and is now looking forward to making his Molineux bow in the Capital One Cup against Aldershot at the weekend. "It was fantastic for me to get a full 90 minutes in," Sigurdarson told the club's official website. "I didn't know if I would end up playing the full match and it was great to get that. "I probably needed it after the last few weeks and I feel good now.

Confidence

"It was good to play against a Premier League team and if people think I did alright against them then that is good to hear. "I think all players need confidence and these games are definitely going to help me with that. "All of the players are ready for the season now and over the next couple of weeks I've just got to work hard and be prepared for the Aldershot and Leeds games. "I want to be in the best shape I can - and I think it's going to be so much fun as well!
Difficult
"I know with all the strikers here it is going to be difficult to get in the team but I am going to give it my best. "I want to really enjoy the experience as well. I feel I have settled in really well so far. "I've got a house sorted. I've been training with the guys and now free of injury and playing in matches. "I'm really going to enjoy playing for the fans as well. "I've had some great support so far and so many tweets coming through - it's been great."
