Bradford boss Phil Parkinson praised John Egan following the on-loan defender's debut in the goalless draw with Chesterfield.
Parkinson has recently lost defenders Andrew Davies (knee) and Luke Oliver (Achilles) to season-ending injuries and drafted in Egan from Sunderland to help fill the gap on Monday. "I felt John did very well. It was a good debut for him," Parkinson said of the 20-year-old centre-half, who has been capped at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level for the Republic of Ireland. "He looks a good player. He's strong, decent on the ball and he's confident in his own ability. I was certainly pleased with his start."
