Champions Internazionale remain four points clear at the top of Serie A after claiming a 4-1 victory over Genoa. Second-placed Roma made sure the gap did not increase after their 3-2 win in the Rome derby against Lazio, whilst Juventus leap-frogged Fiorentina to take third. Inter set-up victory at Giuseppe Meazza with early goals in each half from Ivan Cordoba (8) and Esteban Cambiasso (51). Abdoulay Konko (73) pulled one back for Genoa but within a minute David Suazo had restored the home side's one goal advantage before that was doubled late on thanks to a Julio Cruz penalty. Roma grabbed victory in an exhilarating derby Capitale at the Stadio Olimpico. Tommaso Rocchi put Lazio - classed as the away side - into the lead on 12 minutes but Mirko Vucinic levelled not long after. Mancini (32) and Simone Perrotta (66) put Roma in the driving seat only for Cristian Ledesman to score on 69 minutes to set-up a grandstand finish, but Roma held out for the victory. Juventus moved into third after David Trezeguet smashed a hat-tick in their 3-0 win over Empoli. Fiorentina dropped down to fourth on goal difference despite the fact they also won as they beat Napoli1-0 at the Artemio Franchi. All the goals arrived in the second half as Kaka (47), Alberto Gilardino (53 & 71), Yoann Gourcuff (76) and Clarence Seedorf (80) all found the back of the net. The battle of the basement clubs saw Livorno move off the bottom as they won 3-1 at Reggina. Nico Pulzetti (33) put the visitors ahead but Nicola Amoruso soon restored parity as he levelled just three minutes later. Livorno then snatched the lead as defender Carlos Valdez put through his own net. The win was sealed in the final minute as Fausto Rossini (89) pounced. Atalanta left it late to secure a 2-2 draw at home to Cagliari. Michele Fini put Cagliari ahead with a penalty just before the break, but Daniele Capelli levelled after the break. Alessandro Matri struck to once again give the Sardinian outfit the lead - but they could not hang on as Cristiano Doni secured a share of the spoils. A penalty three minutes from time rescued Palermo as they drew 1-1 with Parma at La Favorita. Stefano Morrone gave Parma the lead after jut three minutes and they looked set to hold out for victory - but Amauri converted from the spot just two minutes from time.
