Second-placed
Juventus closed the gap on leaders AC Milan back to four points with a 2-0 victory over
Inter Milan in Serie A's late game.
The victory came courtesy of second-half goals from Martin Caceres and substitute Alessandro Del Piero.
Caceres notched the opener on 57 minutes while Del Piero made sure of the points with 19 minutes remaining.
Inter's 12th defeat of the season leaves them in seventh place in the table, behind Catania and seven points away from a place in Europe next season, which is beginning to look increasingly unlikely for the 2010 UEFA Champions League winners.
Lazio's Mobido Diakite headed in Cristian Ledesma's cross two minutes from time at the Stadio Olimpico to hand the Biancoceleste three valuable points against
Cagliari.
Lazio hold the last Champions League qualifying spot and the win means they are now three points clear of closest rivals Napoli and Udinese, who were held to draws this weekend.

Napoli's Champions League ambitions suffered a hit as
Catania grabbed two goals in the final 15 minutes to claim a point at the Stadio San Paolo.
The hosts, who went into the game having taken 16 points from their last six games, stormed into a two-goal lead thanks to efforts from Blerim Dzemaili and the prolific Edinson Cavani.
But seventh-placed Catania, who harbour European ambitions of their own, hit back impressively, pulling one back through Nicolas Spolli before substitute Davide Lanzafame netted the leveller five minutes from time.

Atalanta leapfrogged
Bologna in the standings with a 2-0 triumph in Bergamo.
Manolo Gabbiadini put the hosts on their way early in the second half and, although Bologna pressed for an equaliser, they were caught on the counter-attack as Simone Tiribocchi secured the win for Atalanta in stoppage time.
The victory, Atalanta's 10th of the campaign, saw the Bergamaschi climb to ninth in the standings, with Bologna one place and one point behind.
Chievo and
Siena shared two goals at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi, conjuring a result that leaves them both marooned in mid-table.
The hosts took the lead through Francesco Acerbi with nine minutes gone but Mattia Destro levelled six minutes after the break to ensure a share of the points.
Genoa and
Fiorentina also drew as they both remain in the bottom half of Serie A.
Turned around
Fernando Belluschi put the home side in front in the 21st minute before Riccardo Montolivo and Cesare Natali turned the game around.
However, a late strike from Rodrigo Palacio salvaged a point for Genoa.
Relegation-threatened
Parma twice struck the woodwork and were denied all three points in a 2-2 draw at bottom side
Cesena.
Sergio Floccari hit the crossbar early on before putting the visitors ahead in the 40th minute.
But goals from Mario Santana and Simone Del Nero shortly after the restart handed Cesena a 2-1 lead as they eyed a precious three points.
However, Gabriel Paletta equalised on 61 minutes and Parma were then unlucky not to claim victory after substitute Francesco Valiani hit the post 13 minutes from time.
The result at the Dino Manuzzi stadium left Parma 17th in the standings, five points clear of the drop zone, while Cesena are winless in their last 11 games and lie 14 points from safety with nine games remaining.
