Ardley happy with squad depth

Neal Ardley felt AFC Wimbledon's stunning comeback against Scunthorpe proved the importance of having strength in depth.

The Dons were 2-0 down at half-time on Saturday, but Ardley was able to send on Jack Midson, Kevin Sainte-Luce and Chris Arthur in the second half. Michael Smith pulled one back, Harry Pell equalised and sub Arthur completed the turnaround with a late winner. "We showed a lot more energy in the second half and with that came more chances," said Ardley. "Michael Smith scored and he gets through a lot of work - he could have had three or four this season. "Charlie Sheringham was a threat in the first half and he had a lot of good chances for us. Unfortunately, he missed a penalty, but he linked up well and had a hand in the first goal. "Kevin and Chris then came on alongside Jack and they increased the tempo of our play."
