Novo brace and Boyd sink Falkirk
Rangers booked their place in the Co-operative Insurance Cup final with a 3-0 win over Falkirk at Hampden Park.
Nacho Novo was the hero for the holders with the first two goals to help see off brave Falkirk.
The Spaniard broke the deadlock after just eight minutes when he bundled the ball home from close range after Madjid Bougherra had flicked on Pedro Mendes' corner.
Novo doubled the lead five minutes before the break when he latched onto Steve Davis' pass to find the net.
Top scorer Kris Boyd got in on the act two minutes from time when Falkirk keeper Dani Mallo lost the ball to Novo and he passed for his strike partner to roll the ball into the empty net.
Rangers await the winners of the other semi-final between Celtic and Dundee United in the final.
