Tranmere v Fleetwood preview

Image: Owain Fon Williams: Available despite call-up

Team news for Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash between Tranmere Rovers and Fleetwood Town at Prenton Park. (Kick-off at 7 PM)

Rovers boss Ronnie Moore has goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams available for the midweek clash. The 26-year-old is in the Wales squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Macedonia and Serbia but has been granted permission to play for Rovers on Tuesday before joining up with the squad later in the week. Full-back Andrai Jones serves the final game of the three-match ban he picked up for seeing red against Peterborough last month. Winger Abdulai Bell-Baggie is unavailable as he is on international duty with Sierra Leone. Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander will run the rule over Antoni Sarcevic and Ryan Crowther ahead of the trip to Tranmere. Minor niggles kept the midfield duo out of Saturday's 2-0 defeat to AFC Wimbledon and they both face fitness tests ahead of kick-off to determine whether they are ready to feature. Striker Jon Parkin came off the bench to make his first appearance of the season on Saturday following his recovery from a calf injury and he is in contention to start at Prenton Park. Ryan Cresswell has missed the Cod Army's last two matches with a knock but could return to the starting XI on Tuesday.
