Danny Brough scored 18 points as Wakefield crushed Carnegie Challenge Cup rivals Leigh 54-0 in a 10-try romp at Belle Vue.
The Wildcats were far too strong for the Championship part-timers and all but settled the game with 26 unanswered first-half points.
Matt Blaymire, Aaron Murphy and Sam Obst each touched down twice while Damien Blanch, Danny Sculthorpe and Tevita Leo-Latu also crossed.
Brough's contribution came from a try and seven goals from 10 attempts.
Leigh made the first break of the game when centre Sam Reay, scorer of a hat-trick against Lokomotiv Moscow in the previous round, burst clear from deep.
He had options but failed to find support and that was about as good as it got for the outclassed Centurions.
Brough found a huge gap to claim the opening try after a drive by ex-Centurion Scott Grix and Blaymire followed him over after the Wildcats opted to run a penalty.
Another former Leigh player, Oliver Wilkes, then lost possession just short of the line but Wakefield got their third try after the visitors failed to deal with a Brough kick and Murphy crossed out wide.
Pressure
Leigh were unable to get out of their own half and another spell of sustained Wildcats pressure led to a fourth as winger Blanch finished a slick handling move in the corner.
Blaymire then skirted around several Leigh tackles to create Murphy's second with an offload close to the line.
The procession continued early in the second half as Murphy took a Brough kick and quickly fed Blaymire.
It should have immediately been worse for the Centurions as Kyle Bibb broke from halfway but the prop inexplicably lost the ball when attempting to touch down despite pressure from Stuart Donlan.
Normal service was resumed as Dave Alstead lost possession and Obst picked up the loose ball to score.
Obst had another moments later after supporting a break by Danny Sculthorpe, who then scored himself when he went over from close range.
Leo-Latu finished the job with the 10th try of the night when he powered through several tackles to reach the line.
