The Ospreys ran in four tries en route to a comprehensive 31-10 victory over Edinburgh at the Liberty Stadium.
Tommy Bowe, Ryan Jones, Lee Byrne and Jonathan Thomas all crossed the whitewash as Sean Holley's men found some much-needed form ahead of the start of the Heineken Cup.
Fly-half Dan Biggar also impressed with the boot - firing over all four conversions and a first-half penalty.
And while the win was the Ospreys' first home league victory of the season, it also ended Edinburgh's four-match winning run on the road.
Jerry Collins was ruled out for the Ospreys with flu, however the Welsh region were still able to produce a brand of rugby in the first half that should hold them in good stead for their opening European clash against at Leicester Tigers next Sunday.
Freedom
Ireland wing Bowe started the Ospreys' return to form after 14 minutes by going over under the posts unchallenged following a fine pop pass from James Hook that wrong-footed the defence.
And three minutes later skipper Jones, courtesy of a Mike Phillips pass, made the most of a gaping hole in the Scots' defence.
Ospreys fashioned their best score in the 30th minute, neat inter-passing eventually resulting in a rampaging Byrne bursting clear down the right.
But Edinburgh, who had Ali Hogg yellow-carded for a deliberate knock-on earlier in the match, hit back through Tim Visser on the stroke of half-time.
With a healthy 24-10 lead to their name at the start of the second period, Ospreys continued to play with freedom and sealed the game through flanker Thomas.
The Wales international, who missed most of last season through injury, intercepted a pass from replacement outside-half David Blair to clinch the bonus-point success.
